How To Set App From Microsoft Store Default

Please let us know if you have issues with opening any other apps in the PC?

Are you using a proxy internet connection?

Please follow the methods below and see if it helps:

Method 1: Run the Windows store app troubleshooter.
1. Type troubleshooting in the search bar.
2. Select Troubleshooting.
3. Select View all on the top left corner.
4. Click on Windows Store app.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Method 2: Reset Windows Store.
1. Press Windows key + R key to open Run
2. Type wsreset.exe and press Enter.

Method 3:  System File Checker.
The issue might have caused due to some corruption in the system files, so I would suggest you to perform an SFC scan and see if it helps:

I have problem with setup Default Apps in Settings.
I don't use proxy.

Method 1:
Not work for me, Windows Store app Troubleshooter do nothing.

Method 2:
I got this window only

Method 3:

SFC find problem with Store app but still do noting.

Apps still not work.

Did you have some app (fix) which compare files into ISO Image of Windows Installation and Installed Windows on PC and than repair miss files and errors?

Hi,

If you receive error 0x800F081F or 0x800F081F it means that a file needed by Windows Update is damaged or missing.

I would suggest you to run the Windows update troubleshooter and see if it helps:

I start Troubleshoot for Windows Update from link and I got fix but I got still that error in CMD when I start use those commands.

I run first ScannerHealth and than RestoreHealth at the same time.

(DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth && DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth /source:WIM:F :\Sources\Install.wim:1 /LimitAccess)

Hi,

Thank you for getting back with a reply. Let me help you in resolving the issue.

I suggest you to check if similar issue persists on another user account.

Create another administrator user account by referring to Set up accounts  on Windows 10 article.

The corrupted user profile does not function normally such as not launching Start menu, Cortana, Search bar, Store and other Windows applications. In such cases creating a new profile and checking for the same will help in identifying if the is specific to corrupted user profile or the OS.
